As a result of failing markets, downturns, and mortgage delimas, EVERY DIME of EARNED MONIES are absolutely necessary for some teacher’s survival. Payment arrangements that are broken (for any reason) are frowned upon by creditors. If Chicago wishes to quit loosing teachers to higher paying districts, they MUST stop teacher abuse of this sort. With all of the other things teachers must endure, at least pay them for what they have worked for.

Thanks for all of your hard work! This issue is really upsetting to a lot of teachers. It’s not just about money, it’s about the right to dictate the terms of our professional work!

I have a very stern association and they are not kind to those that are more than 5 days late on paying their rent. This situation will affect my rent payment and will cause me additional fees, $50.00 late fee.
