On Sunday, December 6, nine CORE members graciously made the trip to Milwaukee to gather with educators and other public school supporters, as if back from the future to tell the audience of the destruction that mayoral control can bring. For Milwaukee, whose school system is currently facing the threat of a mayoral takeover, CORE provided a critical warning as well as an example of hope and resilience, offering great testimony of the power of organizing and working together as a collective.
